A Workshop That Helped Teachers Truly Feel “Supported by One Another”
Updated: Oct 13

At the beginning, the classroom was very quiet.
But when the teachers realized that this was not a lecture where they only needed to sit and listen, but an experiential workshop they could genuinely take part in, the whole room gradually came alive.
The theme I facilitated this time at Shimen Village Kindergarten in Zhongshan, China was:
“Steady Ourselves, Support One Another”
One of my favorite moments was seeing all the teachers and the principal complete a large-scale team activity together.
That moment was a very real reminder:
In the teaching environment, each teacher may be doing their best in their own role, but what often helps people move forward more steadily is the team behind them that is willing to understand and support one another.
Do your best, and help others thrive.
Sometimes, the best form of support is not saying one more word of advice, but helping someone feel: you are not alone.
If your school is also looking to create more engaging and participatory teacher training, feel free to send me a message.
